| Chris Bontrager, CNM, MS (on maternity leave as of 2/12/10) I received my training in midwifery from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Kentucky, and my master's degree from Philadelpha University. I have been a midwife for 8 years, having moved to the DC area from Colorado in 2005. I am amazed by the miracle of birth, and enjoy helping women and their families to have a positive experience. | Angel Miller, CNM, MSN I have been practicing midwifery since 1997, when I received my certification from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Kentucky. I worked for many years as a labor and delivery nurse prior to becoming a midwife, and successfully co-founded an independent nurse-midwifery practice in Ohio in 2002. I pride myself in offering women choices in their health care, and enjoy using herbal therapies in women's health. My husband, Randy, and I have two sons and "Bear," our 5 year old German Shepherd. | Karen Brindle, CNM, MSN I was born and raised in Chambersburg, PA where I live with my husband. We have two daughters and two grandchildren. I received my midwifery education through the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Kentucky, and my MSN through Case Western Reserve in Ohio. The miracle of life and birth never grow old for me no matter what the setting. I have been blessed to be part of many birth experiences during the 14 years I have practiced as a midwife. | Sharon Bruehwiler, CNM I graduated from the midwifery program at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and attended Columbia University. I have one son, two daughters, and two beautiful granddaughters born in 2008 and 2009. I have enjoyed being a midwife for 26 years, working in both birth center and hospital practices.
