I received my training in midwifery from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Kentucky, and my master's degree from Philadelpha University. I have been a midwife for 7 years, having moved to the DC area from Colorado in 2005. I am amazed by the miracle of birth, and enjoy helping women and their families to have a positive experience.
I am thrilled to announce that I recently married Dr. Mike Karg, a feline veterinarian (www.frederickcatvet.com).

I was born and raised in Chambersburg, PA where I live with my husband. We have two daughters and two grandchildren. I received my midwifery education through the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Kentucky, and my MSN through Case Western Reserve in Ohio. The miracle of life and birth never grow old for me no matter what the setting. I have been blessed to be part of many birth experiences during the 13 years I have practiced as a midwife. I look forward to learning to know each of you.

I graduated from the midwifery program at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and attended Columbia University. I have one son and daughter-in-law who gave me a beautiful granddaughter in February 2008. I also have two daughters who live far away, and am expecting my second granddaughter this fall.
I have enjoyed being a midwife for 25 years, working in both birth center and hospital practices. I look forward to working together to achieve your desired birth experience.
