Our Proud Mommies' Birth Stories -MORE COMING SOON!!

By A.K.

Tuesday 9/4/12 I had what was my last midwife appointment. they were not happy with my blood pressure, so again, as she did at a previous visit, Terri stripped my membranes, and told me I was a good 4cm. I was hopeful that this would get things moving. I was scheduled for an induction the next morning.

It was our middle son’s birthday, so we picked up cupcakes on the way and had a small party for him. Afterward, we walked around the peach orchard at Gettysburg for a while and when it got dark drove back to Mike’s work place to get our other car.

As we were pulling up to the place I parked the car, I noticed what was a small contraction. I had several contractions on the way home, and started timing them at about 10:30pm. They weren’t very strong, but lasting about a minute and were about 5-6 minutes apart. But at midnight they tapered off and did nothing.
